Our client is a mission-driven nonprofit organization delivering educational programs that strengthen financial literacy and career readiness. The Accessibility Tester supports accessible digital and document experiences by identifying barriers and improving compliance for inclusive learning outcomes. This is a part time contract position, remote in the United States, with a pay range of $25.00–$30.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
• Perform manual screen reader testing using JAWS, and use NVDA and VoiceOver as needed
• Test websites for accessibility compliance, including keyboard access, focus order, headings, ARIA, and forms
• Evaluate PDFs for accessibility elements including tags, reading order, alt text, tables, and forms
• Test and remediate presentations created in common tools, including exported formats
• Test interactive e-learning modules to confirm focus management, keyboard accessibility, and accurate announcements
• Document accessibility issues with clear steps to reproduce, severity, expected behavior, and related success criteria
• Retest fixes to verify remediation resolves identified accessibility barriers
Qualifications
• Extensive experience using screen readers for manual accessibility testing (JAWS preferred)
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and familiarity with Section 508 and PDF/UA standards
• Hands-on experience testing PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Pro and common accessibility checker tools
• Experience evaluating and improving accessibility for presentations created in common design and slide tools
• Experience testing e-learning content, including Articulate Storyline modules
• Strong attention to detail with clear, concise written documentation skills
• IAAP certification or similar accessibility certification (preferred)
